Partner Visa
The Partner Visa in Australia is designed for the married partners (including opposite-sex spouses) and de facto partners (encompassing same-sex relationships) of Australian citizens, permanent residents, and eligible New Zealand citizens. This visa allows them to live permanently in Australia.
At YUN Migration and Education Pty Ltd, we specialize in securing this visa for you, ensuring a detailed assessment, comprehensive consultation, and precise application process.

This visa is categorized mainly into two types: the Prospective Marriage Visa and the Partner Visa, differentiated based on your relationship status.
The appropriate visa for you depends on the nature of your relationship:
-
For intended marriages (fiance(e)s): Prospective Marriage Visa
-
For married (de jure) relationships: Partner Visa
-
For de facto relationships (including same-sex partnerships): Partner Visa
Subclass Partner Visa Details:
Partner Visas are issued in two stages: initially, a temporary visa is granted to those who meet the necessary legal criteria. Subsequently, a permanent visa may follow either after a qualifying period or immediately after the temporary visa if there’s a long-standing relationship or children involved.
This category also includes temporary entry for fiance(e)s of Australian citizens, permanent residents, and eligible New Zealand citizens.
Being a partner or fiance(e) of an Australian resident does not automatically entitle you to permanent residency. You must apply and meet the criteria for a permanent visa.
Eligibility for Partner Visas:
-
No age limits are imposed.
-
Recognized relationships include:
1. De facto partnerships (minimum 12 months).
2. Officially registered marriages.
3. Legally recognized civil partnerships (in certain Australian states).
4. Same-sex relationships (12 months duration, registered or not).
